Hello!
I’m Alyssa Poppleton, a paediatric Occupational Therapist based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches (Pittwater area). I founded Poppies with the aim to help every child and family that I work with to find their place in the world; where they can do what they want to do and be who they want to be.
I have over a decade of post-graduate experience working in not-for-profit organisations and private practices, including being a Lead OT for 3 years prior to starting Poppies. In my various roles, I have built strong, trusting relationships with children, families, educators, and other allied health professionals. I value honesty, collaboration, and meaningful connection; and have a particular passion for working with our neurodivergent population. I have worked with families in rural and remote areas via telehealth parent coaching sessions when there has been limited or no physical services available in their area.
I have previously led and supervised Occupational Therapists and university students; enjoying that aspect of sharing knowledge and helping grow others.
Most importantly, I am a mother and understand the juggle and busyness of everyday life. If you feel like I would be a good fit for your child and family, I would love to connect with you.
